I'd like to buy Jedi Knight II, but I'm hesitating because of my experience with Undying, also from Aspyr.

I finished the Lizbeth quest in Undying, which is about 1/3 of the way through the game. Then a bug appeared and I was prevented from continuing the game.

Aspyr was very responsive at first, and eventually asked me to send them a copy of my saved game file. That was the last I heard, despite a few emails since asking if they had found anything further (months apart, mind you: I wasn't nagging).

So I spent 50 bucks for one-third of a game. Now I can't help but wonder about Jedi Knight II. If I encounter a bug, will I be left without support, and feeling cheated?

Yeah I can understand your concern. I suppose it's a risk you take when you buy any computer games. Jedi Knight 2 is a great game though, it probably is worth the risk. Plus if a big bug does come up they'll most probably patch it sooner or later.

buy a console, this game is coming out on gamecube and xbox. i've completely given up buying games for my g4 (perhaps because a 466mhz doesn't play that much anymore..). also you know the game will work, there is none of the worrying about 'will it work' and it drops you further out of the upgrade cycle! and lastly they tend not to crash. the big but (for gaming) is the mac is great for emulated games (though when a playable playstation + n64 will appear who knows!!).
