It'll come to the Mac, despite the craptacular port of SimCity 3000.

Plus if there is an expansion pack later on that makes it have weather and new disasters you can be sure it'll be windows only because that's how great Maxis is when it comes to mac support!

Found this in the MacCentral forums the other night.

As for expansion pack support, ApeInTheShell, considering that all of the Sims expansion packs have been ported to the Mac, I'd be quite surprised if SimCity 4 expansion packs weren't ported as well.

its a bit stupid when simcity.com doesn't allow you in unless you are using windows.

What part weren't you able to visit?

Using Safari, I was able to successfully load the main page as well as the tips and tricks subsection.

They've applied for a ESRB rating? That's great! Thats means Aspyr really intends to publish it. Great find.

Its amazing. Didn't SimCity start on the Mac? $$$ rules all. No loyalty at all. Maybe I'm naive.

Yes it did, but that was back in the days before EA bought them out. Now well now we get great ports like SImCity 3000

I tried http://www.simcity.com/ in safari and mozilla thru x11. no joy with either. It simply says try downloading the latest version of IE or Netscape supplying the links to the windows updates.

No, it didn't. This appears to be the myth that won't die! SimCity originally appeared on the Commodore 64, and has been available on multiple platforms pretty much since it was first created.
