I just got a new 12" PowerBook, and would like to sync my Address Book from my PowerMac with the PowerBook, but have no idea how to go about doing it.

Is this something that .Mac does? And for that matter, could I do it w/ out .Mac? Any shareware apps out there?

If you just want to transfer your addressbook from one to the other, then go to
~/Library/Addresses/Addressbook or something like that.

You can copy that file into your other machine.

If you want to sync between them (ability to modify in either) then you need .mac. This works quite well actually.

Damn - that really blows. I'd gladly pay up for a shareware app or what-have-you that could handle this simple task. I'd have zero need for anything else .Mac offers. Drat.
