Sorry, I'm looking for this tab implementation
and I don't see it? Before you say anything I'm
already humbled by my ignorance.

This is supposedly a feature in development (thinksecret had some screenshot mockups of it).

Currently Safari doesn't do tabs.
Nasrudin sat on a river bank when someone shouted to him from the opposite side: "Hey! how do I get across?" "You are across!" Nasrudin shouted back.

Well, Safari does have tabs but it is in a nonpublic release (v62), the most recent public release is v60. You can probably find it on the net but apple will hopefully release a newer version with tabs soon. If you do decide to find and download v62 you will need to enable the debugging menu to use the tabs feature.

You need to download Safari Enhancer or some similar program (check Versiontracker). Use this to enable the debug menu. Then select the tabbed browsing option in the debug menu.

Thanks, there is an enhancer for V.62 but
not v.64. I'll try the V.62 version
