I can see our kids asking us 20 years from now: "Dad, at school, we learnt about the dotcom bubble in the late 90ies. Did the people really believe in that ?"

Ah yes... over-inflated tech stocks.

What is there not to believe in? It was factual.

No, I wasn't talking about that.
I was talking about people's false confidence that there was NO over-inflation and that everything would just go it's jolly way.

Ah.. ok.

That over-inflation was one of the reasons we had a great economy during that time though.

It never lasts. When those stocks bust, so does the economy.
