Apple changed the space shuttle picture on it's entrance website. Pretty good, I think. Does anyone know when this was done?

Why is it suddenly bad to be showing a picture of the Shuttle. Leave the Image up so when we see it, we will remember the people we have lost, and the achievments that have been gained from the shuttle program.

Don't tell me it's out of respect, respect is acknowledging the sacrifice these people made to humanity and it's endevours.

If apple wants to acknowledge the Columbia crew, put up the Group shot of the crew before they left, and not your new 20" Display & powermac.

Good point, I didn't think of this.

But, if Apple, or any other company, would out of respect for victims of calamities take too much care, there would be hardly a day the could show there products.

I feel that they should have left the photo of a space shuttle. It's an image of man's imagination and yearning for adventure.

brand image is all about not letting your customer feel depressed!! for godssake!!! why would you want a customer who visits apple to immediately be thinking of what happened recently in the news than to look at those machines they want to sell!! seems like a rational decision to me.

I'm emailing apple, a relative of mine died in a field, and their image offends me.
