This is the deal...I would like to store almost a GIG of files on Optical Media but I want to store all of this on a DVD since I cannot fit it all on CD-R I don't want to compress any of the files to make them fit on a CD-R. Can a DVD-R be formatted to be read on a CD-ROM? I have Toast Titanium 6.0.3 and Panther 10.3.5

Thanks

I dont think that is possible. You will need a DVD ROM to read anything burnt to DVD-R. A regular CD ROM wont cut it.

It's not a matter of formatting- the media are physically different.
