Wonder if he's let his hosting or domain expire?

Oh btw if swiz sees this: Anyway I could get the old .tpark for TuXedo? With your permission I'd like to update it for Panther, or at least update it for personal use. Or if anyone still has the old Jag .dlta let me know. Thanks!

I was a feedback guy and tester for JetBlack, swiz though it would be the replacement for TuXedo, it's cool in it's own way but it's no TuXedo... It's a whole different theme. That's why I'm asking for it so I can update it.

sooo... when will it be back up? I keep getting a "Safari Can't Find The Server..." error when I click "Bookmarks>GUI>Open In Tabs". Its bugging me and I don't want to remove your site from my GUI bookmarks.

Keep up the good work and enjoy your vacation... or whatever it is.

Swiz hadn't released anything new in a long time, so what exactly did you miss? Last time I saw his site, he mentioned he was busy with family, etc...

I apologize for not giving a reason for this yet.
It boils down to this, I closed the bank account which I used to pay the hosting fee and forgot to change the billing card, not realizing this until the hosting had been suspended already. By this time I was and am up to my nostrils in buidling our house and just havent gotten around to rectifying the situation. I kinda feel like Im cheating people if my site is just sitting there not even getting news updates for such a long time, so why even have it up; but the obvious arguement is that Im cheating folks even more by making it more difficult to get my stuff by its not being online at all.

So, do you want a stagnant site online for the next few months or do you want me to deal with it when I can actually keep it fresh?

I think most would choose a stagnant site over no site. Certainly, it'd be nice for the newer people who haven't downloaded many themes yet.

I think stagnant is better than missing in action. If I were in your situation I would put a short explanation of what's going on and let people know it wont be updated for a while. Just a paragraph is all, nothing big.

Good luck with the house-building, but If you build houses as good as you make themes Im sure you wont be needing any luck.

A stagnant site will be good until when your house is up and everything's running great.

All the best.

I go for stagnate site. Or... get someone else to host your themes for now. Maybe a one page swiz site with just the themes? Very simple, yet working.

They're on www.xthemes.net

Now some may link back to his site, others may be hosted, I'm not sure.

Nope. Just tried to download JetBlack. It's a no-go. While his themes are listed, there are no previews and they are, indeed, linked to his site.

Add my voice to the chorus of those who would prefer a stagnant site in stead of no site at all.

To dislike Sinatra is a sign of highly questionable taste. To dislike the Beatles is a serious character flaw.

Ok, Im going to get the site back online but want to use a new host, who offers great service/uptime/features and such for good rates. Advise me of your personal preferences.

I'v heard good things about brinkster, but their site does not play nice with safari. I'v never paid for hosting, so I do not know first hand, but my dad's store site (read:"the site I borrow web-space from") uses Networktel.

Glad to hear the site is coming back!

We have been with Host Assured for about 3 years . Always up and very quick response for any questions. No restrictions in large files. Seems like a very helpful guy.

Hey Swiz! Good to hear you're still alive!

Geekspiff uses Total Choice Hosting. I've been with them a bit over a year and they've been completely invisible to me - in other words, they've been perfect.

They've got a strong community of users, which was the factor that originally made me sign up with 'em when my last host became too crappy.
Geekspiff - generating spiffdiddlee software since before you began paying attention.

I recently switched my site to bluehost following wibs advises. Their new offer is great ( 2GB of storage, 75GB/month bandwith, etc..) for a very decent price (less than $7/month) and the customer/technical service is fast and efficient.
So far , I'm really satisfied with them

I use Hosting Beyond to host my blog. They've got very reasonable prices and almost zero downtime. I've been with them since the beginning of the new year and have had no downtime, other than when they upgraded their servers (which was only a couple of hours).
