Poke, rub or squeeze to enlarge.

The transparent app-icons in the dock are "hidden" - using the feature from TinkerTool.

There is an official David Lanham sytle theme being done by David and Fireside. The personal mod I posted is just that. Not to be released. Sorry.

well duke there is always the options of MODing an existing guikit yourself for YOUR personal use

1. Get ThemePark
2. Get GuiKitty
3. Pick a theme
4. Get some sleep
5. Get a bunch of coffee - eat the beans forget the water.

You need ThemePark to edit the Extras.rsrc

You could always just use the currently installed theme and merge the elements when necessary... but that's a huge pain in the ass compared to just editing what needs it.

Granted, Extras.rsrc isn't as navigable as a .tpark

anyone feel like making a Lanham-themed adium message style while we wait for the guikit? I would, but I find that I am much better at programming than I am at making anything rempotely creative.

Better yet, does anyone have one made yet?

honesty Gerrit - I have no idea...

I started MODing my first theme, for my own use - since giving up on creating from scratch. TP spooked me so I went to GK and it ripped everything apart. Converted the first 318 files and then opened the extras and finder rsrc in TP... and there it sits - too baffled by the sheer number of files to continue - all I wanted was a theme wide hue change.

Do I only need TP?

When it comes to skinning you can be greatful you have a mac, windows is much complicated to skin, there are so many extra stuff that do not exist in a mac system such as shellstyles, animations and stuff for not to speak about the entire startmenu.

that's not so true, ive skinned windows, i created 2 skins it didn't take me more than a week to create each, the first one i did using NOTEPAD and pshop, for the second one i used skinstudio it's a wysiwyg skin editor, you see a preview click un an element, and you can see the preferences select the images, etc. it's very simple compared to skinning using themepark where you need to navigate through levels remember resources, etc.

All you need is ThemePark if you're going to be editing every themed element (which is essentially what you'll be doing if you want to hue shift the theme).

It is very tedious.

the .listTheme and .listLayout should work by doubleclicking them if you have the latest adium beta (www.adiumx.com/beta.html), for the icons you need to go to the finder locate the adium app ctrl click it select show packages search for a folder Gems something and open it and replace the file on that folder with the ones on the zip file

If that is the case i doubt that you skinned everything, I know most people that are really good and wants to do the best takes several weeks for them to complete a skin from the time they got the idea on what to do.

You've got my nomination for a cool sidebar, menu and window widgets
The one thing that I find slightly out of tune are the iTunes buttons - they're perhaps a bit too shiny.

That's because if they don't have the permission of only one of the authors they used, they CAN'T release it. Get over it!

I agree. I reworked the matte Milk buttons for the Login Panel and feel they look quite nice, so I will be doing the same for the iTunes buttons. BTW, thanks.

DragThing

I believe he detailed that particular setup in a previous post, if you feel like searching.

It's a very nice application if you put some time into customizing it (it doesn't look like much when you first start it up). I no longer use the Dock thanks to it.
