Hi all, I have searched high and low and found several conflicting answers and enough threads that scare me from using migration asst. I need to transfer all of my contacts and email (i use mail app and contacts) to a clean install of 10.8. Can anyone give me a clear and concise way of doing this? Any and ALL help is greatly appreciated.
Love,
Pandas

Simply use Migration Assistant located in /Applications/Utilities to migrate your whole account and all settings. That then includes your e-mails. It's very straight-forward: launch it and follow the on-screen instructions.

If you can, redownload all of your mail from the server on 10.8. For the addresses, you should be able to manually export them from 10.5 and import them on 10.8.
