Hello all,

I've got this G4 iMac, actually it belongs to a friend of mine, it's the 1GHz model which I guess takes DDR RAM. It says that it has 256 in one slot (DIMM1, I believe) I've been trying to look at install instructions but they all seem to vary. I would like to add 512MB, for a total of 768, it's only really used for web browsing and Office and it's running 10.4 so I don't think it's worth going to a gig or higher, especially considering the age of the machine. 512MB is like $20.

There is a user-serviceable slot and another slot right? Which one is DIMM1? I found somewhere that each of these slots are different? If so, what are they?

Thanks!
