Why would it?

I went through a phase of listening to Death Cab. It's good music, but I have to be in the right mood to listen to it... which usually isn't a good mood to be in anyway.

I don't know what that says about your sexuality, if anything, but it does make me sorry for you.

I used to rebel against music like that. The STP, Tool, Pearl Jam etc. was my mainline of music. Now... all of a sudden I get into a relationship and it seems that I am listening to much slower and less 'manly' musics.

Death Cab doesn't make you gay, but allowing abe to grant you favours might.

You're probably just suffering from pussywhipitis. Nasty disease. Messes with your testosterone levels.

I don't mind a handful of Death Cab songs, but some of their stuff is like a slow lobotomy.

I'd say if you're having sexuality conflicts you're probably gay anyway and anyhoe no matter what your musical tastes are. Try your gaydar.

You left off the "Ask Salty" option. He will let you know for sure. (and maybe ask you out as well)

PS: I like some of the Indigo Girls early music: Does that make me a closet case?

Doesn't anybody refer to a band by the full name? I think I've been caught saying "death cab" once or twice before but it makes you sound like a backstage groupie or something. "Ya, man. I saw death cab back in Chicago in 04."

I was just annoyed that they signed on with an RIAA label in order to get big - if you look on riaaradar, they had several albums on smaller labels before they got big heads about it.

Why does 'manly' music always bring up metal type stuff?

Bit of Macc Lads for the real men.

And no calverson you're not gay just because you listen to certain types of music. You're a ****, but music has nothing to do with that.

About time someone made the mandatory sell-out comment.

Rather short sighted, here. While I'm not the biggest proponent of majors, there are lots of reasons why bands sign with a label, such as "making a living" and "being able to afford the best possible scenarios for creating the best album they can".

Oh yeah, I remember that. Two days later, there was a story up here about a ‘couple’ (sounds odd calling them that) in Sønderborg who were also having a baby. He’s 12, she’s 13.

I’m not sure I’d call either of these idiot boys stereotypical ‘real men’, though (apart from the bit where they’re idiot boys).

Oisín was married with three children when he was in a record store where Death Cab was playing when he was buried by a shelf of Death Cab for Cutie cds that collapsed. Now he likes dudes.

It’s true. I can’t hide the truth anymore. I’m really a quadragenarian having a midlife crisis. And these shorts aren’t really a retro ’80s-style bathing truck from Aussielads; they’re just a pair of my ex-wife’s old aerobics tights.

You broke me, Dakar. And the fact that you did so in a run-on sentence just makes it worse.

I hope you’re happy now.

(I can't say I was pleased with the sentence structure of the post, but it lent itself to the absurdity of the entire ordeal)

The 13 uk kid story is mind boggling. He and his 15 year-old gf planned it. They wanted a baby. The entire concept is making me italicize.

I'm running fast and loose with the term pun (this is not a pun either, is it?) but I figured my mention was appropriate somehow in a thread about homosexuality in a response to a... wut?
