From the start I figured his campaign was a way to sell his book and other similar ways to make money from being an icon, and something something superpac something something. So rather than not realizing it yet, he might just be keep milking it until they kick him out.

The weird thing is I've heard this applied to a few of the other candidates – Bachman and the current front-runner Gingrich come to mind. it feels like reasoning being used to rectify some of the idiotic campaigns these people are running.

I saw the 9-9-9 in the header of the Lounge, and got sucked in.
Yes, it is in violation of Jawbone law, but I've got to make an exception every once in a while.

I know the question, and the answer really isn't worth going into anyways.
Thank you...

Is there anyone still doubting that it's a wrap on Herman Cain after this little gem was revealed?
Herman Cain: Wife didn't know about friendship to Ginger White - John DiStaso-Union Leader - POLITICO.com
His ass is grass with the Mrs. when he gets home to have that "face to face" conversation. What kind of fool has an ongoing "friendship" with a woman not his wife ... a woman he's communicating with all times of day and night ... a woman he's giving money to ... a woman his wife knows nothing about ... and then launches a presidential campaign? I mean I can understand wanting to raise your profile for your book and the lecture circuit ... but he messed around and got pretty popular and invited the scrutiny that being at the top of the polls entails. Dude is probably going to make a lot less money behind all this mess. Dumb ass. He had to be a special type of fool to think he could pull this off!

I still think the chicks are staged, seriously.

I can't speak to the other women accusing him of sexual harassment. But Ginger White produced phone records. Cain's acknowledged this. Even has his attorney demanding to see them. You can't "stage" that one. Word is the media got wind of the "friendship" and started calling her and her family. So she admitted to what was going on. Hope she gets paid cause "Sugar Daddy Cain" ain't going to be to sweet on her behind all this.

Yes, I see. Still, from the perspective of this being performance art, that's close enough, right?

Once you go Cain, you can't abstain.

Good call guys, Cain has suspended his campaign.
What I want to know is what happens with all of the donations when this sort of thing happens?

What does this image from his website ( The Cain Solutions) have to do with people choosing things?

I think this all demonstrates that the U.S. is politically broken. A man can become a leading presidential hopeful by promising to shift the tax burden from the rich to the poor with the most regressive tax adjustment in American history, but if he cheats on his wife it's all over.

Maybe this was the plan all along: run a campaign jsut long enough to get a new flat tax proposal out there, then start a super-PAC to support it.
I also think it makes a difference that he has "suspended" his campaign rather than "ended" it. I wouldn't be surprised if he could still raise more money for his "campaign", since he cound, in theory, restart it at any time.
