OMG!! Another Sci-Fi junkie!! I collect 'studio scale' models and modify other large scale models for use in home special effects. Currently I have 2 Moebius Jupiter 2's (one for showing of the year 1 and year 3 interiors, and the other as the Hero, with working gear, mechanical lights etc) 2 Big Seaviews (Movie & TV) the big Round 2 TOS Enterprise and in the garage a 4 foot diameter copy of the Jupiter 2 from the restored hero.
Good thing I'm not hardcore....

I'm a big fan of good special effects, props, costumes, etc., but I'm not an avid collector. It is, unfortunately, an extremely expensive hobby. Crow and Tom are about the extent of my collection, and it has less to do with sci-fi and more to do with that I just absolutely love everything about MST3K. Simply brilliant show.
A few years ago I had won an eBay auction for a little over $100 for a screen used, working alien head from ALIENS (complete with servos, controller, working "saliva" tubes, tongue, etc.) After a few days, emailing the guy for an invoice (this was before PayPal integration), he tells me he sold it to someone else, and that he had listed the auction incorrectly.
The same head showed up a few years later and sold for about $15,000. So much for ever owning one of those.

I missed the redone "Manos" the first time, but I caught it last week. I think the original MSTK riffs were much better but the Rifftrax version was still hilarious.

Nice bot ya got there!
I saw Plan 9 Riff Tracks live in nyc a couple of years ago, had a blast, love those guys.
But I still prefer the old MST3Ks, especially the old Japanese monster movies. Rex Dart: Eskimo spy!

I've seen nearly all the RiffTrax live via Fathom Events. I'd love to see one in person.
If you like the old crew, there's also Cinematic Titanic with Joel, Trace, Frank, Mary-Jo (she also guest riffs on RiffTrax), and even Josh from the KTMA days.

I love the movie slides before the show.
I think my favorites were:
"Movie Mistake: Twilight."
"Movie Mistake: Transformers: Dark Side of the moon is classified as a 'movie' by the Internet Movie Database."
"Movie Mistake: Casting Rene Zellweger as an attractive woman."

Too much. I spent part of my tax return on it. $330 shipped. Tom Servo is significantly cheaper because he's a simpler and cheaper build. I bought them from Sledge Riprock on eBay. I got my Tom Servo before he discovered eBay, so he was a LOT cheaper back then.
