I like it, very impressed with new features and new look.
Nothing ground breaking, but I suppose they need to keep the regulars happy.

Is there any way to launch the beta without installing Java?
I'm not interested in installing that since it is an unnecessary attack vector (see Flashback). Why would Photoshop require Java anyway?

No idea. But if you're running adobe already you prob already have java, n'est ce pas?
I'm just getting used to 5.5. By the time my office upgrades, 8 will be out...

Prolly for the same reason Adobe installed Opera...no reason I can think of other than nefarious ones.
