This year, I got a 16TB hard drive, and a couple boot SSDs (1TB + 2TB).

I'd wanted to upgrade, but had been waiting years for HD and SSD prices to drop. Impatience finally kicked in.

Now that I've bought, prices will tank in the new year. Plan your upgrades for the next few months. You're welcome.

We got ourselves a Homepod, the big one in black. “Thanks” to my nomadic work contract situation, I haven’t been with external speakers for almost a decade. They are clearly not as good as my Wharfedale 70th Anniversary Speakers, a souped up speaker from their Diamond series, but they are alright and they are, importantly, omnidirectional.
I don't suffer from insanity, I enjoy every minute of it.

Nice.

I'm going to buy myself a new ipad (still butan) or ipad air (no butan). Apple.com or where else to shop?

Ah well, that was a bit of a list, because as mentioned in the other thread, I built myself a new computer.

Ryzen 9 5900X. Yes, the one that is hard to get
Motherboard for same. B550 uATX MSI something Wifi
16GB DDR4 3600MHz RAM
1TB M.2 SSD
Some fans that light up, because it is Christmas and I felt silly
CPU cooler
Raijintek Styx case - a red one
The new Mac Pro has up to 30 MB of cache inside the processor itself. That's more than the HD in my first Mac. Somehow I'm still running out of space.

I got a 10Tb Seagate drive to fill up my OWC Thunderbolt drive.

And I’ve been trying to fill out my little home theatre which is not an actual home theatre, and just the family room. Getting stuff wife-approved makes things a bit more difficult, but I picked up a Rythmik F12 subwoofer and some Monitor Audio CT380 in-ceiling speakers to try and get my Atmos on. Hopefully installation won’t be too bad....

Not so much a “home” upgrade, but I got an Apple Watch Series 6 (replacing my Series 2), and I got my wife a 5th Gen iPad Mini (replacing her 4th Gen with a nearly worn out battery).

And I got tired of the issues involved with Windows emulation, so I got a Dell laptop to handle the stuff I need to do that will only run (well or at all) under Windows. I’m still setting that up, and I’m wondering if I want to buy a license for Office through a third party or just go with Libre Office...

I have an upgrade list for “whenever” though. Someday my 4th Gen AirPort Extreme will give up the ghost, so I’m semi-actively researching what to replace it with. There ain’t much that does all the APX does in one box.
