If I remember correctly it is from either an early/original Macintosh commercial or a commercial from the first Quadra. I think I used to have a copy of it on some machine.

Yes, I was wrong. I found the video that looked similiar and it was an advertisement for the Quadra 800. Weird thing is I had one of the first TiBooks but never saw that ad.

No, you are right. Apple used a shot from a Quadra commercial in that TiBook ad photo.

When Apple introduced the Macintosh Quadra line (the Quadra 700 as IIci replacement and the new Quadra 900) they had a commercial that showed a sports car ride along some country road at high speed. After a while the camera went back and you saw that this whole ride was all taking place in a window running on a Quadra.

The clip can be found here. Have fun.

And mr moderator sir stick this post up high wave it in tha' air 600 some odd views should give clue this thread is not going away.

And we do...belive it....I've been taking thousands of new shots
with my new Sony F828, nature shots...problem is...
I'm quite the "picky" photographer...so It'll take a while before
I get them online...meanwhile you are MOST welcome
to take a look at http://www.hamsterking.com
and look at the photosection...there I've taken a lot of macro
insect pictures with my "old" camera...I yet have to take new
photos (well..actually I have,...but they are not sorted yet)
with my new F828 camera...

Summertime...here we come

This is what happens when we don't have anything to do on Friday night. From left to right: Zach with an 867 12in, Jared (new Mac user) with a 1.25 15in, Me with a new 1.33 12in, and Carl (new Mac user) with a new 1.33 12in. I somehow managed to talk Cal and Jared into buying Powerbooks.

striker100, my PB 17" is sitting on a PodiumPad (one of those cheap, plastic swivel stands they sell at the Apple store and which I HIGHLY recommend).

I second the endorsement of the PodiumPad. It's nice if you need to tilt your laptop for a better view of the LCD or for typing on the laptop keyboard itself. The only drawback I'd note is that it's not as good if you're going to use an external keyboard directly in front of the laptop: you can't put the keyboard partially underneath like you might with some stands, so the LCD may be further away than you're comfortable with.
