I set my SS to Aqua theme and Aqua icons (v1 claimed it to be the same as to disable SS, is that still the case ?), downloaded Ape and SS, logged out/in, installed new versions Ape and SS, reapplied theme and icons, logged out/in. Update went OK.

Thanks people at unsanity for the impressive list of bug fixes, and LBNL cheers to Tom - at first I blamed the new APE to go with my Dutch system, until I read the credits

<edit>
How I hate to come back on this : the iDisk icon finally shows up OK in the Finder sidebar, but still doesn't in the sidebar of Open - Save Dialog windows (except when I switch to default aqua icons). After applying a theme it shows the internal drive icon.
I've done the obvious : trashing the formentioned com.apple.sidebarlists.plist, trashing Caches/ShapeShifter/Mods, deleting com.unsanity.shapeshifter.plist, repairing permissions, logging out / in, restarting. Nothing helps.
Do I need to trash another pref perhaps ?

Here's my problem illustrated :

left : Finder window / right : Preview Open Dialog = = = watch iDisk icon

theme applied, icons Default Aqua :

immediately after applying icons and relaunching Preview :

after logout/login :

Can anyone shed some light on this ? Or is the iDisk bug still there ? All feedback is highly appreciated. TIA

From the release notes:

Fixed the iDisk sidebar icon. May require deleting com.apple.sidebarlists.plist.

Gerrit, damn it...

I'll reopen my bug. That iDisk icon is EVUL!!! It works differently from all other icons.

Just to be sure, please try the following: Use Finder's preferences to remove the iDisk icon from your sidebar. Delete the com.apple.sidebarlists.plist file. Log out/in. Use Finder's prefs to add the iDisk icon.

The data gets cached, so just deleting that file might not do the trick in every case, but the above instructions were too complicated for me to put into the readme.

smeger,

Thank you so much for taking this into consideration. Sadly enough, your MO didn't work either. Here's how it still looks, but notice different iDisk icons in toolbar (wrong one) and dropdown menu (right one) :

Just out of curiosity, I used Finder prefs to remove all sidebar items above separator - instead of just the iDisk. After your MO :

Sorry, I really don't want to rain on your parade. Just trying to help you out, and again thanks for bearing with me.

I have had no issues. I installed the application enhancer update and then the shapeshifter update and then restarted just as it told me.

However i don't use idisk.

@ livemotion
ALL these problems with 2.0.1 are only about the iDisk icon in sidebar of Open/Save dialogs - and so far it happens on my 2 systems (although since smeger's comment on the iDisk icon behaviour it's likely to happen on other people's system too).

@ twister
Of course you have no issues. The only issue I mentioned is the iDisk icon, which you don't even use.

Sorry people, don't be mislead by the amount (and size) of my snapshots in this thread. They're meant to clarify things to smeger mostly, and eventually to others on the forum.
ShapeShifter is great, support is great, and I trust development is on top of things
