Ive got some trouble using my iDisk. Im able to get into my account, can send and receive mails (via the webbased client) but when im trying to open my idisk, nothing happens. The box tells me that an icon will appear on my desktop, but wait.....and nothings appears....

Also: Apple states on her website, that Apple user will be able to use the iDisk from every platform. Today i tried to open it from a win2k machine and got a message that only Macs are able to open iDisk.??!??? So what

first, use the Go | Connect to Server menu and enter "afp://idisk.mac.com/youritoolsnamehere" to try another way to access your iDisk.

on your w2k machine, double click "network neighborhood" and then "add new" to start the process. on the screen that will pop up, enter "http://idisk.mac.com/youritoolsnamehere" and then whatever you want to name that folder. then double click the newly created icon to access your iDisk via your w2k machine.

iDisk is a great solution (for me) for taking work home. it definitely beats e-mailing my stuff back and forth. no time lags. no corporate virus or confidentiality disclaimers appended to each message i send. accessibility from my iMac at home and my black and purple ibm at work.
