.Mac is a nice to have.

For the less technically inclined it has several nice features. The email function is ok. The whole package is not worth $100. Email is almost there, but until the email application is enhanced (at no addtional cost), .Mac email is not for the serious email user. At minimum the email storage for the first account should be 25 meg and at least 15 meg for the addtional account.
The email size should allow for more that 3meg.

.Mac and email is a hobby and cannot not be used by email users.

I feel the ease and integration of iPhoto homepage publishing and iSync to my wife's pbook, and my cell (i know available without .mac)is worth it without any of the email stuff. I really like it, and hope the "digital life" aspect of it - syncing your data and 'personality" (addresses, calendar, bookmarks, etc) will expand.

How about making it so you can log in to the apple site and play songs you have purchased on the iTunes store? Just thinking out loud...(and without music at work)...

.Mac is worth every penny to those who find it so. And .Mac is also not worth a single cent for those who find it so.

(Can someone tell me what the point of this thread is?)
