Who's Your Favorite Gay Man & Lesbian?

George Michael because he can flat out sing!

Steve Wozniak because if Jobs was Apple's daddy Woz was Apple's mommy.

Ellen Degeneres is my favorite lesbian. She is really funny and really smart and has a good heart.

Jodie Foster would be #2. Sexy and smart and talented.

Who are your picks and WHY?

When you're done here, why not head over to the favorite Negro male or female thread.

I kind of agree with paul's sarcasm in this case, abe.

Is Woz gay?

No need.

It's Ray Nagin & Cynthia McKinney.

Who are yours?

Freddy Mercury, Scott Thompson, Pet Shop Boys... I am sure I could think of more but I don't really categorize such "favs" in "gay and none gay"

Probably the ones who don't base their entire existence on making sure everyone else knows they are gay. Why? Ever met a vegan? It is like that, but way more annoying.

Oh Doofy.

I'm not sure where this going but I'll play...

Leisha Hailey cuz she's hot, smart and feminine.

and Sean Hayes cuz he's funny and even tho he can play the stereotype, he is not such a fag like say... Ant or Boy George.

I only clicked on this thread because I knew it would be a disaster inside.

My sister-in-law used to be a vegetarian, and she'd wear a t-shirt all the freaking time that said "I'M A VEGETARIAN." She's cool though.

Uh oh, don't tell me that reading a thread with Gay subject matter makes you a homo????

Uh, I only started the thread because Ellen makes me laugh.

Favorite Gay Man: Probably my friend Stephen. I've known him for over a decade now and even though I no longer in live in DC whenever I go there we hang out and always have a blast.

Favorite Gay Woman: I don't have any lesbian friends (that I know of) so I am going to go with somebody famous, and that is Jodie Foster. She's smart, sexy, subtle, and seductive. (Although, I don't know what it means to have those compliments come from a straight man.)

PS: to Doofy for the Rob Halford shout-out. I completely forgot he came out in the late 90s.

One should never stop striving for clarity of thought and precision of expression.
I would prefer my humanity sullied with the tarnish of science rather than the gloss of religion.

...no, it's because I saw that you were the one who started it and someone would instantly call you a homophobe.

I've never been an Ellen fan. I just can't get into her humor....

I didn't know people started segregating friends and favorite people by their sexual orientation.

so to go along with Paul W's post we should also have our favorite bigot thread too.

If anyone's a candidate to be considered a homophobe, I suppose it would be a conservative/Christian/straight guy like myself, but I have several gay friends. They know what I think about it, but they realize I don't treat them any differently because of it.

I have to say though, the term "homophobe" is a bit of a misnomer for most people. They're not afraid of homosexuals, they just disagree with their lifestyle. Some people cross the line into literal homophobia though.

Favorite gay man: John Barrowman, just for playing Jack Harkness
Favorite lesbian: Leisha Hailey, 'cause she's hot
Favorite negro: Halle Berry, also because she's hot

Incidentally, I know surprisingly few gay people. (Well, I know a few "bisexuals" of the type who exclusively date the opposite sex, but I'm not counting that.)

No it isn't.

That'd be putting gayness on some kind of pedestal. Which, as the gays tell us, would be wrong since it's completely natural.

So, it's like who's your favourite news reader, or who's your favourite fat blonde girl. Same thing.

Who's your favorite amputee?
And no, I'm not equating homosexuality with losing a limb.

[EDIT] I just realized that my English teacher is both gay AND an amputee.

And some people also abuse the word to belittle people that have no fear of homosexuals or homosexuality. Their reasons are to belittle such a belief and attempt to shroud it in the idea that such belief is based out of fear, or a phobia, and not a legit reason.

in other words, it's like calling anyone a name. A self defense mechanism.

The very people that dislike say, religious people because of their views on homosexual sex, and the same people they dislike. They just don't realize it.

Tolerance isn't accepting a lifestyle or belief. Tolerance is how you treat those with lifestyles and beliefs that differ from yours.

You don't have to accept that person's beliefs to be tolerant. Just treat them well as you would any other person.

It doesn't matter if you're gay or straight, people. Stop trying to segregate your fellow men along those lines.

All that really matters is your state of salvation. For instance, I am one of the Elect, whilst almost everyone else on MacNN is unregenerate. You are all unclean, and as a result, should be kept apart from the righteous. Furthermore, the unregenerate misbelievers should be slain for tainting Christendom. They are beyond the pale of the covenant and will never be made just, no matter how hard they try, or how many good works they do. Therefore they ought to die.

The only other person on this forum who is predestined for heaven is the humble, wise Salty. The rest of you are wicked, evil, brazen, bewitched cuckolds who deserve to suffer the wrath of the Lord's sword. Until that moment in time when the Earth is cleansed of your foul presence, I am going to request that every member of this forum be banned, so that I may enjoy MacNN in solitary righteousness.
