See, even though I’m just a few hundred kilometres north of your humour, coming from a typical Danish sense of ludicrously sarcastic humour, that video could do no more for me than give me a slight chuckle once or twice.

Most of you are talking about "irony", not "sarcasm", right?

This thread has evolved to general (sense) humor and its differences in different cultures.

Italians have complained about my humor a lot. They weren't sure whether I was insulting them or making a joke (I tend to be rather sarcastic at times and keep a very straight face), and they have explained to me that for them, the `face tells the joke', i. e. it's not so important what you say, but how you say it. Conversely, adjusting to their humor felt like aerobics for my facial muscles I think Latin American humor is similar to Italian humor (although my experience is limited to Mexicans).
There is some American humor I don't get (Seinfeld, it's just not funny, or The Nanny who is plain annoying). Although usually I can see why it's supposed to be funny. But I'd like to think it's that I prefer a different flavor of humor, be it American or otherwise. (Frasier works just fine for me.)
Monty Python is usually `considered funny' in Germany, but I find it painfully boring.
Japanese are very touchy when it comes to sarcasm. And since I don't speak it that well, they are usually not even sure whether it was on purpose (until I explain it and it's not funny anymore). Their humor is more innocent in some ways, way more kinky in others.

I don't suffer from insanity, I enjoy every minute of it.
