OS X 10.3.4

At the root level on my hard drive, I am getting a few weird files. One called just "0" and one called "stream.dump". The 0 file is always completely empty and the stream.dump varies in size. I delete them, but then they always come back.

Out of curiosity, I renamed the stream.dump to stream.avi and opened it. It seems to be a video of any DivX movies I've played just all joined together.

This is kinda odd because I play divX with quicktime, using the divX 5 component plugin. I dunno why this is happening, and seems the codec may be programed to do this, but why? Why would it be streaming any divX movies played, which are already on the hard drive, to a single stream.dump file on the hard drive?

Anyone else seeing this with divX + quicktime?

That is very odd. I'm not seeing that at all. No visible or hidden files like that on the root level of the drive, or anywhere.
