So I thought I'd sign up for that free 14 day trial of their music service where you can stream any of 600,000 song or whatever..

Their new osx player is actually pretty nice, but i thought the ipod lock image on the Real Guide(tm) was lolbertarious
Anyway I heard a rumor that real was taking a loss on every 49c song sold... can anyone confirm that? (it seems reasonable that they would be)... How long do they intend to keep that up? It's not like they're selling a player or anything, I wonder what the plan is.
It's not a loss leader, just a loss. Maybe they have this fantasy about running all the other music stores out of town with their lolocaustic prices then jacking it back up to 99c

I read somewhere that they're taking a loss of 1 cent per share due to this marketing campaign.
