I had a dear old Powerbook running 10.3 which died. I now have to make do with my Mac Pro. So sad
More importantly, I got used to the way Mac OS Preview worked in 10.3 . Preview in 10.6 has all of the gosh-darned FEATURES that don't do me any good when viewing and sorting PDFs and groups of images.
Who knows of a method of running the Preview from Mac OS 10.3 in 10.6 ?
Failing that, who knows an image-viewing application that behaves in a similar way? Desired behavior : open images and PDFs to match the width of the screen and scroll top-to-bottom then to the next page by pressing space.

Preview really isn't that different. Just ignore the features you don't use.

Preview from 10.3 should work under 10.6 - there's no obvious reason to tie it to a specific OS version.

I keep Grab 1.0 around from 10.0 because it will work if DVD player is running, unlike the later Grabs. Along with Picture Viewer.app from OSX Beta, because (unlike Preview) it reads image files based on internal format. In other words, it will open an image even if it has an incorrect extension.

You'll have to install Rosetta via Software Update (it'll ask you when you try an open Panther's Preview).
