The other day I was testing subtitles on my ATV. I encoding the first couple of minutes of LOTR - Fellowship which includes two lines of english subs from elvish. I did it using Handbrake and an SRT file I found. The subs work just fine in VLC, Quicktime and iTunes but when I turn them on on ATV, they do work, but the second line remained on the screen for the duration of the clip. Its like the ATV doesn't know to take a line down until it gets given another line.

Anybody have any idea what I can do about this? I have no problem editing the SRT if it can be done that way, I just don't want to re-encode all three of these movies more than once if I can help it, my old MBP takes 6 hours each to do them. Also I'm not keen on having "Fire the arrows!" on screen for almost 3 hours (Next elvish is right at the end).
I have plenty of more important things to do, if only I could bring myself to do them....
