Hi All!
I am so excited about my new black MacBook! I want to transfer all the mp3's from my iPod onto this new mac but I don't know how to do it. Can anyone please point me to the right direction?

Thanks!
Michelle

You need 3rd-party software to transfer from ipod to computer. I don't know the names of any of them, but a search on version tracker or macupdate should get you pointed to the software you need.

Good luck. I know it's not hard, you just need the other software.

http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/17877

http://www.ipodsoft.com/index.php?/software/igadget

Both are 15 dollars. For some reason, when I bought Ipod access awhile back, it was only five dollars. I'm sure there are several more programs out there, but these are two that I know of. THe first is for OS X and simply does song transfer, but if you're running windows the latter not only does song transfers, but also adds a bunch of neat features to your ipod. BUt then again, that is PC. There are likely more programs, so I suggest waiting for some more people to respond to see if there are better programs out there.

You can try: http://www.fadingred.org/senuti/
or http://ipoddisk.ourbiti.com/index.php/download/
I believe both programs are free and should be fairly easy to use. I've installed Senuti but haven't gotten a chance to use it yet.

Ummm.... Why not transfer the files from your old computer? That's supported free (anything from an ethernet connection to target disk mode) and you won't have to worry about whether or not the files show up the same way on your new computer-the one third party app I used to recover my music because my primary music disk failed left me with days worth of fixing tags and organizing stuff.
