most places that have Mac forums. (or even PC forums, but those tend to be far less attractive setups)

-DP G4 1.42ghz
-Samsung 172x (wall mounted with white paper wrapped around the black chords)
-Shure SM58
-M-Audio Pre-USB
-Onkyo Digital USB Audio Processor
-Speakers
-Chair
-Apple Black Keyboard
-Logitech MX500 Mouse
-LG VX6000 Cell Phone
-Japanese Akida Lamp from Torogo
-3-levels of Wal-Mart shelving (didn't expect anything this sharp, but I jumped all over it.)
-Under-shelf lighting from Home Depot
-Two Hohner Harmonicas and a headbrace for them
-Schooooool books
-Etc.
Loving the setup. I've put a lot of time into the look and jobs that I had to work at. One kink in the plan though...while the bare walls work, I wonder if anybody have any ideas for what I can do to stylize?

Where did you get the desk, and how wide is it? I've been looking for a simple, wide (>6ft) desk with a keyboard tray for awhile.

Ikea does sell some huge dining room tables. One goes to 112" long, I believe...in three sections (the middle one is removable and can be stored under the other two. I can't remember the exact price on this one, but it was <$500.
It also has roughly the same pattern as the above pic, but perhaps a little wider.
As you can tell, I'm considering it :-)

The 'new guy' 2.5DP
The 'old man' 450mhz G4 Cube
The Cube now performs light HTMac duties in the TV room. Nothing fancy though as it's only able to pass S-Video to the TV...one day I hope to use it on a TV with a VGA input.

Where do I start.. I went from much idle time to very little (due to a career modification) then I kinda forgot about the board, until now with X.4 coming out, I though I'd check in and see what's new... turns out the whole board is new!
Hope all is well..

How do you sit in front of the computer? The desk looks very low.
Edit: Ah, I see... You're in Japan. You must sit down Japanese style.
Is it comfortable sitting that way for extended periods of time? I can't see myself doing that...

Well, if you are not Asian it might take some time to get used to it and can be very hard.
But once you do get used to it, it is very nice

I know people who use their 30", 23/24", and even 15" powerbooks as their primary TVs. They live in really tiny Manhattan apartments, so it makes perfect sense.
I, on the other hand, have a nice large outer borough apartment, and am waiting diligently for the new 1080p Samsung DLP RPTVs.
(I'm also waiting for the next PM refresh, my cube is in parts on my computer table )

Here's an update to my earlier contribution...
Just bought a 30" Cinema (couldn't help myself). Hurray for new pricing and edu discount. Still don't have a proper desk yet, but I haven't found anything I like yet!

That is a nice screen man.... but you're right, you can't have 6000+ worth of hardware ontop of a $40 desk... time to go get a new one!

For desks, take your pick.
I bought the Jerker desk and couldn't have asked for a better, more solid computer desk for less that 90 bucks.
Good quality and great design that goes well with Macs.

Scooters are more fun than computers and only slightly more frustrating
