Hi,

I used Dreamweaver 4.0 on an iBook G3 without any problems. A few days ago I bought a new mac laptop with an Intel chip, and Dreamweaver won't even open up. Any advice? Do I need to buy a new version? Or do I simply need to download and install some software patch ?

Yes, Dreamweaver 4 is too old to run on an Intel Mac. OS X for the PowerPC (such as the iBook) included a compatibility layer called Classic, which could run old apps like that, but Apple didn't port Classic to the Intel version of the OS. I believe Dreamweaver MX is the oldest version that will run on an Intel Mac, though someone else can correct me if there was an earlier Carbon version.
