The only thing this comic points out is the misguided belief of the author that security to obscurity has anything to do with real security. Heh.

Its probably a bad marketing strategy to mock your 'switch' users.
Though trying to get the young college crowd into computers by making them cool probably isn't such a bad idea. Neither is giving away free iPods with new Computers either.

I suppose that to disillusioned Vista enthusiasts, this is probably very comforting. I'll let 'em take what they can get.

Awesome! I like them better than the first set.
"Actually, the rest of me is in some other boxes, I'll catch up with you later.."
"Touché" "No, I don't think you're using that right.."

PC guy comes out wearing the same clothes/outfit (of course, not fitting exactly right) as Mac guy and says, "Sorry I'm late, but I had a few things I had to, um, catch up with..." Mac guy looks PC guy up and down, while just shaking his head. While Mac guy is doing this, PC guy is tring to imitate everything he does, but just doesn't do it well.
The picture fades out and the Apple logo shows up with PC guy as a voice over asking, "So... what are you wearing tomorrow?"
Brilliant.

Apparently...
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ellen_Feiss
...she is doing short French films.
In September 2005, Feiss appeared in the French short film Bed and Breakfast due to be released during the summer of 2006. She plays one half of an American couple visiting France who are drawn into a dangerous fantasy world when they visit an old friend at his château.
http://www.clermont-filmfest.com/00_...00054953&o=23#
And she's 19.

Okay okay I admit, I was in one of those pornos (it was a really good porn). She was all beep beep beep beep beep beep, then put her mouth on my "paper", and then like half of my paper was gone. I mean it. She devoured my "paper". I was like ughhh.

Yeah, at least Apple is being honest about the fact that it now sells PCs.

I used Google too out of curiousity- I was just curious if anyone knew anything beyond her Wikipedia entry (which doesn't say terribly much when compared the tidbit spewing craniums from this board).
And after hijacking the thread, I'll return it by saying that in retrospect these are the best non-iPod commercials Apple has ever released.
I mean, stuff like the 1984 commercials were historic and amazing, but they weren't effective in selling a product. That whole "Think Different" slogan, while cool and appealing to us higher thinkers, did not appear the the mass public that wants to do anything but be different. For the first time Apple is targeting the mass public, and they are doing so by advertising actual features of their computers. Notice there are no pretty computers to look at, just dummied down explainations about why Macs are good computers to have. Most people are stupid. Most people are sheep. And Apple wants all of them buying their computers.

lol, which makes it all the more funny when internet nerds have had the crush for her
but seriously, i thought she was older too. when she 'im a student' in the ad, i was thinking college student.
to think she was 15, and adults were drooling about her and discussing her on the internet? wow, thats pretty strange.
But not as strange as my comment about how she became a pornstar.

Bingo, I thought she was 19, 20.
Admittedly I wasn't paying close attention the commercials, drooling.

yeah i know, i think thats insane. I mean you have to be someone pretty special to be able to go on either of those shows, and I was kind of surprised to hear that they offered those opportunities for her. she should have jumped on it in an instant.
