Outlook on PC -> Mail.app on Mac

Just got a MBP and I was wondering if I could transfer the emails from outlook to the mail app.
if not, is there a easy way i could Mass forward everything in outlook to my gmail address so i can view it on my mac? thanks!
(btw, i did search, but i didnt find anything that helped)

You can't directly. You would need to import/export through some intermediate program, like outlook express or Entourage.

You can also use an IMAP (like a Gmail account) but if you've got a lot of mail this may be too slow.

I used Outlook 2 Mac from Little Machines a few years ago and it did a great job. Well worth the money.

My solution was to use a rule in outlook to redirect a copy of all incoming email to a gmail address. This had the unfortunate result of making it so that all my emails appeared to be sent only to my gmail account. If someone had written an email to a whole bunch of other people as well as me, I'd never know.
Later, I configured mail.app to connect directly to our exchange server via IMAP. That works better.
I feel for you, though. There are definitely some advantages to receiving your mail messages in mail.app.

IMAP is a good option, like peep said. Sign up for a gmail account and storage shouldn't be an issue. Free to boot.
