just how far can i go with macdrive?

by mistake i restored an image of the osx dvd onto my osx drive (in disk utilities)....and that was the last time my mac booted up
ive found a programme called macdrive so that i can get my old mac drive working on my pc and i can access the disk now....but what do i do next?

If your user data is still on the HD, but you just can’t boot to it, doing a normal re-install of MacOS X should fix the problem (and leave your user data intact). Just make sure you don’t choose the clean install option (as that will erase your user data).

Of course it wouldn’t hurt to burn a copy of your HD to DVD first using the PC, just to play it safe.

Assuming you didn't have the "Erase Destination" check box checked so all your apps and data are intact on the drive, all you'll need to do is boot from the OS X install disc and do an Archive and Install.
