Could you at least post a preview of what it looks like? Tiger looks exactly like Panther to me, is why I'm asking.
|
I love the U.S., but we need some time apart.

Not quite.
Look at the titlebar.
Also, more noticeably, the System Preferences and iSync.
There is probably more.

"You rise," he said, "like Aurora."

Thanks a lot for this. I have since edited the theme up a bit more with elements from Max. (his original work, not mine at all)
The combination looks great!

Can't wait to try it out at work. I've seen a preview but I hear you gotta try it out to really 'see' it!

Great! Looks very nice. My only gripe is that titlebar has a double line and caps seem to differ somewhat in color.
All in all, very nice.

Are there any plans to flesh out this theme even more? The glossy blue is real slick and would make an excellent replacement for all the gum-drop aqua elements. Also to have a matching blue for the menu highlight color. Or am i just on Santa's lap wishing for Christmas presents?

Would it be possible to add these new pop-up menus? I think they look sweet...
Also, if you look here, you see that the dark blue seen on the Show all (75) line doesn't match the sweet looking glossy lighter blue used for the Search line. Can you make all the menu highlights use that glossy lighter blue?
Thanks!!!

Blackdog,
FB answered my question about the push buttons. I didn't that you were building an 'exact' copy of the theme via screenshots. That's why when i suggested using the glossy blue from the menu bar (apple menu area) for push buttons, scroll bars, and anything else from Aqua that was blue. If you need more of a visual PM an email and i'll send you some sort of a mock up..
Thanks for the effort and work.. Looks great and very useable!

Someone in another thread edited launchbar to look like the search thing, I'm still wondering how they did it though.

I can't belive apple is skimping out on 10.4's gui. The change between 10.2 and 10.3 is so radical compared to this. I guess I will have to continue to use Shape Shifter until apple gets a decent gui together, Im guessing around 12.8 when Im working there, and my input will actually do sumthing. Until then I hide, in my air conditioned room on my iBook, slaving away on my theme. **teaser: Think Different.
btw it will be better than my hsotnicam theme

I'm very curious about one thing :: are the brushed metal elements themed as well?? I noticed that Apple has modified the brushed metal look in some parts to this:

According to some things I read over at Appleinsider, this look should take on more importance as we get closer to a final release. Remember, we're still a year away from a final release. A lot should change by then.

I understand that perfectly well, but since a Tiger theme is currently built on what we see in screenshots, I was hoping the brushed elements might also be changed. (Just not a big fan of the whole brushed look, that's why I use smooth stripes)
