OK, I was looking at the final cut studio website... and so far I can tell you get FCP, DVDSP, Motion, and SoundTrack Pro... that said, I know LiveType used to be included with FCP dono if it still is... I imagine now SoundTrack is no longer part of FCP... they also say apps called Compressor and Qmaster are included...

So I'm just wondering... how many Apps total are included in this suite of Apps? I think people might have to buy 20 inch Cinemas just to fit all these Apps in their dock!

Final Cut Pro Studio has :

FCP 5(which includes LiveType, Cinema Tools, Compressor)
Motion 2
Soundtrack Pro
DVD Studio Pro

and a boatload of sounds, loops and other stuff 40GB worth.

The only thing we're missing is a

3D app
and inter-app Media Manager

We're headed in the right direction.

Anyone else think it's a bit weird that Soundtrack Pro was spun off into it's own App?

Do you think SoundTrack will continue to be developed with Final Cut Express?

And... seriously 40 gigs worth? That's... insane. That wouldn't even all fit on my PowerBook's hard drive! Though I confess, if I had a Dual G5 I would be very tempted.

Hmmm....

The v4.5 included FCP, DVDSP, Motion, Soundtrack, LiveType, QT Pro, Cinema Tools and Compressor (that's reading off the spine of my box...)

I've ordered the new Studio, and AFAIK it is identical, except with the new versions. QT7 Pro requires a new key (your v6 won't work), so I'm fully expecting a QT Pro key in the box. LiveType will be in there...no reason for it not to be!

40Gb install? Wahoo :|
