I'd go for it. I personally did an erase and install just to be safe, but if you must upgrade, then i'd say do it from 10.3.9.

It really is not necessary and should not matter either way, MrForgetable. It will just cost you more upgrade time if you choose to upgrade to 10.3.9 and then 10.4.

That's like asking if you should add a quart of oil to your car before changing it 20 minutes later.

well, all is well and spotlight is almost done indexing my drive. the ripple effect with dashboard sadly is not as cool as it was at the tiger premiere on that big screen

now time to reinstall some drivers and i'm set!

also, while i'm here (this is my first OS install so I'm pretty excited), I used the archive and install option. Do you guys think I can delete the "Previous Systems" folder? everything seems to be going well and I would kinda like some of the harddrive space back

Don't forget to install OS9, Tiger can't run without it.

As long as you don't have any files you want out of your Previous System folder, delete the heck out of it.

I'm Ugraded, but I'd like to do an Archive & Install after the semester is over, just to remove some general clutter and get the placebo effect speed boost.

all the applications in there have been replaced correct? don't really need anything in the library i don't think. as long as tiger doesn't need I don't need it.

Install 10.3.9 and wait until Tiger's bugs are ironed out before you install, especially if you use mail.app, Apple's DVD Player, and Safari.
