I guess this isn't really directly related to Mail itself, BUT what is a simple way for me to backup my IMAP mail, in case my mail server dies and along with it my mail....hasn't happened so far but....

Check the have local copy checkbox and next time you synch the mails will be saved locally ....

Thanks, I've had that checked but wasn't sure if when say the main server crapped out for instance, the syncing would delete all the mail locally.....
