all of a sudden, it will not load. it will bounce a few times in the dock, but will "unexpectedly quit" before it finishes.

what's wrong? my friend needs to find out pretty soon. so far it has stumped me. she has tried uninstalling it and installing it again. what else can she try?

Try dragging the "Microsoft User Data" folder from the Documents folder and letting Office X create a new one.
