I have a PowerBook G4 17" with a 1.33 Mhz G4 processor and a gig of RAM. Should I bother installing leopard on this machine, or will it be too slow?
I'm thinking about getting a MacBook, but I'm not going to do that any time soon...

It should be great, probably faster than Tiger.

If you do get a new machine, get a Macbook Pro. Why go from a 17" screen down to a 13?

Budget would be the #1 reason. The Pro is twice the price. For a larger screen, it' just not worth it.

That's just one generation behind my PowerBook, and I'm certainly planning on getting Leopard.
