I just want to announce that I just had my first Skype video call from a moving vehicle. iPhone tethering works beautifully, but does suck the battery dry.

Typing this on my way from Toronto to Barrie - and no, I am not driving.

Why are you driving and Skyping at the same time?

AT the very least, place a second tethered laptop on the hood of the car, cam facing the road, and Skype with it.

In like 2003, I was using a cellphone to tether(under the radar of my provider), on a Pismo, with a firewire webcam filming the drive on I-95. Good times.

The chicks on Yahoo IM loved it. "OMG are you coming to see me??"

me: "no, shut up."

Last year I played WoW on my laptop using a Sprint EVDO card. Latency was 65ms.

No, I wasn't driving.
