Is there anyway I can use my Mac to change my iPod's format to Windows?

If you don't have Windows, why do you want the iPod formatted that way? (Someone had to ask...)

I want to be able to transfer files between my home and work (WIndows) computer. My work computer could format it to WIndows, but its software is in serious need of updating and it doesn't have the internet. So I have to download and burn everything it needs to cds that I can take to work (since it can't read the iPod as a disk), then I can format my iPod. I was just hoping there was an easier way, especially when it comes to future iPod updates and whatnot.

IIRC mounting a Windows formatted iPod usually takes a little longer to mount on a Mac computer.

You can format the iPod for Windows only if you have a Windows computer. Won't work on a Mac unless you do it in Boot Camp or in Windows running under VMWare Fusion or Parralels.

You might have less headaches if you get one of those 8 GB USB thumbdrives and format that under Windows. They're cheap enough now.

Yeah, that sounds like the best/easiest idea. It is pretty incredible how cheap those are getting.

Thanks for all the input and advice.
