My pb is supposed to arrive tomorrow (shipped from Taiwan on 10/01, cleared custom on 10/03). Today I called airborne and the only thing they were sure about was that my pb is in US now. So I decide to take one day off tomorrow to wait for the package. But I have to go to school in the afternoon for 3 hours. One of my friends told me sometime airborne just leave the package in front of the door without getting receiver's signature, is that true? Is there anyway to prevent them from doing this? I certainly don't want them leave a package over $2,000 alone. Will they try deliever again if nobody at home?
Thank you very much!

Sometimes they do - it depends puon the driver. Leave a note saying "Don't leave package" (or "Do") if you want to try to influence the driver.

Call Airborne! Ask them what the release form states.. you can try to have them change it.. if it is out for delivery this morning it may be too late..

I'm pretty sure that they would not leave $2000+ worth of computer without a signature of one type or another!
That is one hell of lot of cash for a driver to work off...
However, if you are really worried, give Apple a call...
Peace,
Marc

yeah, they can leave a package of that value outside. If you give authorization, they will do it.
As I said, call Airborne and ASK if a signature release is required...

They left my $200 AEBS on my steps today, no signature even though it said signature required. Granted I live in like a near 0 crime neighborhood.
