Try this out.

1. Hide the Dock
2. Open Terminal and type: killall Dock
3. Hit the Return key
4. Unhide the Dock and watch the new Animation

I noticed when Tiger first came out but, I figured I'd mention it cause it's pretty neat looking.

It only does it once after I type in the command. How do you make it do that every time?

I don't think it's a new animation, just loading icons at startup.

Looks cool though

There's a 'secret' feature in TransparentDock that changes the animation the dock does when it shows/hides if you're interested in that

There's an invisible button right below the minimize button in the TransparentDock window. When you click it, the tab view should become covered with something they call the Tab View Shade... Should be pretty self explanatory after you find that.
