Is there a way or a 3rd party product that makes it possible to restrict the changing of a browser's home page?

If you go to the preferences of the browser, you can set which page to launch with, and it will do that until you change it.

The only way I can think of is to lock the preferences.

in the safari folder in your user library there is a file called Bookmarks.plist
get info on the file and click the locked checkbox

I have not tried it but it should work theoretically.

you will not be able to change any bookmarks including the home page.

Hmmm....I tried it but didn't work for me. I was able to both delete bookmarks and change the home page, even though it was locked. Did you restart?

Did you try it on your administrator account or a separate account? Thanks for helping out.
