We currently use Panther in our labs. We have been installing custom settings in /System/Library/User Template to create a custom user experience for each new local (mobile) user that is created when the log-in through Active Directory. Typically we create a dummy user, establish the setting and copy the files to the English.lproj directory and reset the permissions as suggested by the OS.

This does not work for us under Tiger, when a user is created no custom settings are show and iMove shows up as a “?” in the Dock. We would appreciate any input or experience anybody else has had with this.
