Anyone have their Mini hooked up to a Plasma for general surfing, iTunes visualization???
Never thought about it, but started thinking tonight??? Plug in via DVI port?
Anyone?

My issue is trying to connect a mac mini to a 42 inch Panasonic plasma TV. I have a DVI to HDMI cable that runs up the back of the wall into the TV. The monitor is recognized by the MAC but the resolution is terrible, and is similar to the problem below. However what the worst part is, is that when I run my pictures through a screen show in I-photo you can't even begin to read it. Someone at the apple store suggested I adjust the refresh rates but I don't seem to be allowed to make those adjustments. It's irritating. Any help would be appreciated.

Your resolution is probably off. Many plasmas use odd resolutions like 1366x768.

Plasmas do indeed have odd resolutions. The first generation SD pannels had really low resolutions making them not particularly usable with computers. Then you come across other issues like them running a resolution like 1280x1024, which isn't even a 16x9 aspect ratio.

so umm . . can someone hook up a screen shot? Does the max resolution depend on the TV or the mac mini? if it's the mac mini - what's the max resolution? also, if I was to mirror my iMac G5 to my tv via S-Cable, what's the max resolution for that?

I haven't tried this myself, but when I was thinking about getting an HDTV display I read somewhere that you might need to use a program like DisplayConfigX to change the resolution.
