Does anyone know if I can, instead of burning it to a disc like the Alsoft updater program prompts, instead salvage the disk image from which the CD would be burned?

I don't have a blank CD and would like to use another computer to host the disk image via Firewire for my other computer.

Thanks.

Nevermind, guys. I found the disk image in the tmp folder. I don't think that I can start up from an image, though. Bummer. Thanks, anyway.

You cannot start up from a disk image, but you can put the Mac to be worked on in firewire disk mode on your other Mac and service it in that way. Although I have never not booted directly off a Disk Warrior disc, you should be able to use it on the target disk while it's running from the other Mac.
