I know this option is available on my Mac. Is it available on said iTouch?

Not that I know of, but if you are looking at the same IMAP account on your Touch as on your Mac, messages will be marked as read on both devices as you read them.

No, you can't do it via the iPod. One of those features that Apple missed for 3.0...

iPhone can't be used as portable disk as iPod on Mac. Some third party software can mount iPhone as portable disk.

This is true, but think about it-iPods can either be music devices OR portable disks, not both at the same time. Using an iPhone as a portable disk would mean that you wouldn't have a phone, and I doubt people spend the money on an iPhone to NOT have a phone... I don't think "Apple missed" anything with this design choice.
I'm wondering what others think about this, particularly how useful that third-party software you're talking about is.
Forum members, what's your call on this?
