...so where is it? I know some Linux hackers were trying to port it to Linux; does anyone have an idea how long it will take to get a Mac version.

I recommend that anyone who wants an official version e-mail the makers at [email protected] and ask for one. We won a napster like this, lets make Morpheus next.

C'mon... SOMEBODY must have heard about this rpoduct. It was in Time Magazine, it's like the next Napster (better than bearshare and Gnutella or whatever).

We need a uniform platform for file sharing to be sue that you can find what you ant. From the PC users' responses it looks like Morpheus will be it.

Morpheus is just a Gnutella client. Use limewire. Morpheus is spyware anyway, just like Kazaa and all that other Windows-only crap.

Well some Linux people were porting Kazaa (which is the same thing really) but Kazaa beat them to it and came out with a version of their own for it. A mac version of kazaa is in the works according to them.
www.kazaa.com

Limewire is okay but you still have some difficulty finding certain things and that is because kazaa has at least three times as many users.

WRONG.
Morpheus is "just" a superior program that functions similar to Gnutella, and has a user base that pales any other Gnutella client.
I won't argue with your claim that is is spyware since I don't know of any evidence for the counter. As for my initial claims, check out the recent article in Time Magazine for some specs.
