So, where do you have this information from? There is nothing about that on the web.

In other words, I'm extremely excited to see it finally come to the Macintosh platform.

Well February sounds right... IMG is accepting pre-orders and says February ( http://www.imgmagazine.com/news/stor...ArticleID=4692 ). I sure wouldn't mind it be released on Feb. 1.

Well, IMG has an update from Aspyr that says RTCW is in Final Candidate status.
http://www.imgmagazine.com/news/stor...ArticleID=4715

Sounds like GK may be right.

IMG also published the system requirements of RTCW. Someone seems to have left off the hardware graphics acceleration requirements though.

One req stood out to me. The necessary clock speed was about 400 Mhz which is what I have. I guess I won't be getting it until I upgrade.

This reply maybe a bit off topic. No offense, but isn't it kind of difficult to upgrade a processor? I may be wrong, though.

I think he meant getting a new system. We can't exactly take out the motherboard and have access to a plethora of cheap chips like in the x86 world.

But you are right, some models can be upgraded, I'm not exactly sure which and last I hear the best upgrade card maxed out at dual 500's, which would suck for me if I desired to upgrade being a dual 450. But since he's got a 400, I would assume G3 and an upgrade on that would result in a greater performance boost.

What? It looks like your posting a date or something.

Is that when RTCW is shipping?

It's Feb. 1 tomorrow... will RTCW be shipping?

Or if your a Nazi, shoot the Americans

Anyway, is anyone playing the beta (you can get it from Apples OSX downloads)?

I play with an iBook 500 (Yes you heard me iBook) and it runs tolerible. About 35fps (estiment) with it lagging down a bit with alot of explosions and stuff. I think it'l run nice on a G4 400 with settings down a bit.

Don't worry, it's much lower than 35 fps. "/cg_draw fps 1" will give you the real number.

Yeah, I meant upgrade my whole system. As in, dual ghz or G5s if we're lucky @ MWNY.

I've heard that RtCW is going through final approval right now. I'm guessing that means it's been sent to the original developers and publisher for their approval.
