Does anyone have any songs that their iPod just can't play without flaw? I ripped the album "Angels' Glory" (Christopher Parkening, Guitar, Kathleen Battle, Soprano) into 160Kbs MP3 using iTunes, and the iPod can't play it without making little pops when the soprano starts singing really "broadly". On the other hand, I have another album by the same duo, "Pleasures Of Their Company" which doesn't do that no matter how loud the soprano gets.

I have tried playing the MP3 files through my laptop speakers and their are no pops. It sounds as if my iPod just can't take the volume.

Has anyone else experienced this with any songs? Is my iPod faulty?

Excellent! That did it! I deleted that 160 Kbs MP3s and encoded in 128Kbs AAC, and all is well. Thanks for the tip!
